Overview of the work area

1. Prepare your CAM file (using Fusion 360)​

2. Prepare the machine​

  • Turn on the electricity at the machine (to the right of the table).
  • Insert the USB stick with your .nc file into the control computer.

3. Prepare the workpiece​

  • Find a wooden plate to use as a wasteboard and mount it on the CNC bed.
  • Secure the stock using double-sided tape, screws, etc.

4. PC: Open the machine interface​

  • Turn on the screen (button under the middle center of the screen).
  • Open the Universal G-code Sender program (if not already open).
  • Ensure the emergency stop is not pressed. If pressed, turn and pull the button.
  • Clear the workpiece area and press the "Home Machine" button.

5. Insert the tool​

  • Ensure the spindle is not engaged by pushing the safety switch up.
  • Use the appropriate wrench to loosen the spindle nut.
  • Insert the collet into the collet nut and ensure it is properly seated.
  • Screw the nut onto the spindle, insert the bit into the collet, and tighten the nut.

6. Set XY zero​

  • Move the spindle to the desired XY origin using Ctrl + Arrow Keys.
  • Press the "X0" and "Y0" buttons to set the coordinates to zero.

7. Z-axis probing​

  • Get the push button (located near the CNC).
  • Place the push button on the wasteboard.
  • Press the "Probe and zero Z" button.

  • Keep your hand on the emergency stop while probing.
  • Ensure the bit touches the button. If it doesn't, press the emergency stop.
  • After probing, remove the push button.

8. Run your G-code​

  • Go to File > Open, locate your .nc file, and open it.
  • Verify the G-code visualization on the screen.
  • Wear hearing protection.
  • Keep your hand on the emergency stop and press "Play".
  • Ensure the spindle starts. If not, press the emergency stop.
  • The spindle will stop automatically when the job is complete.

9. Clean up​

  • Turn off the power (switch to the right).
  • Turn off the screen (leave the PC on).
  • Remove your stock and wasteboard.
  • Clean the work area around the machine.
